BABY GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today (December 31st) we went to the Doctor for another sonogram. There had been so much discussion about if the baby would be a boy or a girl. Kathleen and Makala wanted a girl but Joseph and Joshua wanted it to be a boy. Tony also wanted a girl but at this point, I just wanted the arguments to stop. There had also been tons of discussion about names but I didn't really want to decide until I knew for sure what it would be. Well, we found out for sure.....................ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I have been so lax in keeping up with this. I must have a mental block. There has been a lot going on, all the more reason to be updating more often, but now I feel like I'm so far behind, I'll never catch up! Oh well, I'm going to try to do a little each day, and get it updated. On the baby front, everything is going well so far. We did a sonogram a few weeks ago, too soon to find out if it's a boy or girl, but soon enough to be sure that this spirit is, indeed, coming alone. We are at 17 weeks now, and the next check-up is this Thurs. I am hoping to schedule the sonogram at that appointment when we will find out boy or girl. That will settle a lot of disputes. It seems that half of the family wants a girl, and the other half, a boy. I would just like to know, so that we can stop giving this boy a complex by calling him SHE all the time!

Twilight in the near future!!!

Hey everyone, with all the excitement I forgot all about the most exciting thing, Twilight the movie coming out on November 21. Me and my mom are HUGE Twilight fans. For those of you that haven't read them, there are four, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and the newest one, Breaking Dawn witch came out in Augast. I have read the first three twice and the forth one once. Mom has read all four of them twice cuz she just finds time to do that somehow. If you haven't read them yet, it is in your best intrest to do it soon. If you think you won't like it. Try it anyway. When i first started reading them last summer, Mom didn't want to have anything to do with them. She thought they were going to be stupid and unrealistic but it turns out that she LOVES them! I won't ruin what they are all about but if you like romance, action, and tense, these are the PERFECT books for you. THE MOVIE COMES OUT IN 27 DAYS!!!!!! from October 25th. Oh and by the way, The link to the right will take you to twilightersanonymous.com were you can take quizes to see how much you know about the books AND what character you would be. I am a Bella and Mom is an Esme:)
Love,
Kathleen<3

WE HAVE NEWS!

Well, call us shocked! After our boys were born 9 YEARS AGO, we were sure that our family was complete, and took steps to insure that we didn't get any "surprises". Well, 8 years after that, SURPRISE!!! Yes, you read right, we are pregnant! Apparently our plan did not fit in with someone else's plan. After the initial shock and disbelief wore off, we started coming to terms with the idea. Mainly we just came to terms with the fact that if Heavenly Father had another spirit up there who was supposed to join our family, then that's what is going to happen. We are getting used to the idea, and starting to get a little excited, as long as we don't dwell too long on the details, like where this kid will sleep, and the fact that we have NO baby stuff. Sometimes I still waver between panic and denial, as I did the first 4 or 5 days after we found out. But we are just trying to concentrate on the fact that this is what Heavenly Father wants for us and somehow everything will work out. Can't say I'm thrilled to be pregnant at 36, as so far I feel like I have been run over by a Mack Truck. But Tony and the kids are already jumping in to help and take over more of the household chores to give me time to collapse on the couch. We will keep you all posted on the developments. Our first doctor's appt. is on Oct 23rd, and right now, I am just anxious to hear that there is only 1 little spirit in there, not two!

Makala got an award!

Makala was given the "Kindness is Cool" award at school last week. It is given to several students each week who are noticed being exceptionally kind or thoughtful. She got it for be-friending a new student at the school who had a terrible 1st day, because no one would talk to her, so on her 2nd day, the counselor introduced her to Makala who then spent the lunch period with her, and showed her around, and introduced her to people. The counselor called me the day it happened to tell me what a sweet, caring daughter we had. Then she got the award and the principal called to tell me about it. There is a picture of her on the school's website. Here is the link -http://www.nisdtx.org/12102010592240/site/default.asp.
WE ARE SO PROUD OF HER!

Meet the Family

Hey!!! Welcome to our family blog!!! This is the first one we have ever done so I apologize if i forget to update it once in a while or there are type-o's. Let me just introduce you to our family...my name is Kathleen, i am 13 years old and i am normally the one that keeps up with this kind of stuff. My parents are Tony and Shannon and i have a younger sister, Makala (11), and my younger twin brothers, Joseph and Joshua (8). We live in Justin, Texas and we LOVE it here. We normally have a pretty busy life. There is always something happening.

I am Kathleen and i do a lot of extra activities. I run cross country and track on the Gene Pike Middle School team and I LOVE it!!! I also participate in the school choir and i am taking spanish for a high school credit. I love to go to both the middle school and high school football games and hang out with my friends. I take on responsibilities with my church (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) and i go to TONS of activities. I love to be outside and with my friends.

My little sister is Makala. She is in the 6th grade and she does a few extra activities. She likes to play the piano and she also sings in the school 6th grade choir. She spends a lot of time out of the house with her friends and she plays in the 6th grade band...she plays the french horn but she is barely starting so we can't wait to see how she progresses.

Joseph and Joshua are twins. They were born on October 3, 2000. They had twin-to-twin transfusion meaning that Joshua had too much blood and Joseph didn't have enough blood but now they are happy and healthy and EXTREMELY hyper all the time:) They love to go and play outside and with their friends just like their older sisters. They participate in the church cub scouts organization and they absolutely love to go and be with their leaders and friends and they love to fulfill the requirements.

My mom, Shannon, works at Tadlock Orthodontics as the financial coordinator. I think she enjoys her job..especially since she doesn't have to pay for my braces:) She is the one that drives us were we need to be most of the time and we greatly appreciate it.

My dad, Tony, is a diesel mechanic at Penske truck leasing...he fixes big trucks. He is a really big Nascar fan and he works at the Texas Motor Speedway during races for a little extra money.

We have one dog and one cat. Our dog's name is Sadie. She is a little, black, cocker spaniel/shitzu mix and she is the CUTEST THING EVER!!! Our entire family just loves her. She turned one on June 17th i think and we have had her just a little over a year. As a family we all take responsibility taking care of her and it generally works. Well, at least she always gets fed at least twice a day. L.O.L

And that brings us to the last member of our family, Abby. She is our cat and she is about 15 years old. My dad got her for mom after they had been married about 6 weeks. And i was born about a year later. She is not the friendliest cat but she doesn't bother us either.

We hope you check back often and we will try to keep up with pictures and news. We hope to hear from you too!
